On Friday 1 June 2018, Johnny Sørensen will start as the new operations manager at the Port of Kolding.
After a recruitment process carried out in cooperation with Ramsdal Gruppen, the Port of Kolding’s new operations manager has been selected.
After careful selection, it has been decided to hire Johnny Sørensen in the new position, which he takes over from the former operations manager, who is retiring after more than 30 years at the Port of Kolding.
Johnny Sørensen has been employed at the Port of Kolding as a crane operator since 2011, but has been screened and evaluated on an equal footing with the other applicants.
Johnny Sørensen is a trained farmer and firefighter, and since 2007 he has been employed as a machine operator at Brdr. Weisbjerg at the Port of Kolding, after which he started as a crane operator at the Port of Kolding in 2011.
As Operations Manager, Johnny Sørensen will be responsible for the management of the Port of Kolding’s operations department, which consists of 9 operations staff, and will also act as a sparring partner for the CEO. In addition, he will be responsible for liaising with the ship’s agents on operational tasks.
“I’m looking forward to starting my job as operations manager and making my mark on the Port of Kolding, even though it’s a heavy legacy I have to carry. I see it as an advantage that I know the port – both the employees, the customers and the business areas and will do my best to make the change as simple as possible” says Johnny Sørensen
We congratulate Johnny on his position as Operations Manager at the Port of Kolding.
