Tuesday d. July 2, an ambitious collaboration between strong advisors and a number of companies at the port, including Kolding Port itself, was launched.
In close collaboration between consultants, port companies and Kolding Port, the goal is to create a green cluster that provides a common identity with common goals, initiatives and businesses – a cluster that can be continuously expanded with new companies.
“We are here to show that green efforts and commercial development can go hand in hand in a competitive market – together we can create greater value for the entire port,” says CEO Heino Svenningsen, Port of Kolding, in connection with the start of the project. It is the Danish Industry Foundation that has developed and supports “Decoupling 2030”, to which the port project is affiliated – we focus in the further work on:
– Finding innovative solutions that decouple value creation from climate and environmental impact across businesses and position Kolding Port as a sustainable frontrunner in the port sector.
– To develop new collaboration opportunities and achieve common goals in areas such as energy efficiency and waste management – while leaving room for individual company projects in the program.
– To secure future collaborations between the port’s businesses for the benefit of both the environment and competitiveness.
The program offers a unique development process that focuses on circular and resource-optimizing collaborations between suppliers across the value chain – it is partners in “Decoupling 2030” such as Force Technology, Danish Technological Institute, Danish Design Center and Alexandra Institute that we will meet in the further course.
This Tuesday, we held the first workshop where the advisors met with the port companies to discuss and identify the challenges and objectives they face in their daily work.
The five port companies that are involved from the start are: NCC, H. Daugaard, Hjaltelin, Danish Agro and Business Kolding – so in total a project group from the start of six companies incl. Kolding Port. If your company is connected to the Port of Kolding, you can still be part of the program, which runs until March 2025.
Of course, if you want to join the project, it requires a certain level of commitment to strategic transformation and the ability to dedicate the necessary resources, including commitment from management.
